LAREDO, Tx. (KGNS) - Laredo Police need your help identifying a man accused of robbery.
The incident happened on Jan. 11, 2024, at a convenience store located at the 3500 block of Zapata Highway.
Police posted a picture on social media of a man with a blanket over his body who is seen reaching over the counter and into the cash register.
If you have any information regarding the identity or location of this man, you are asked to call Laredo Police at 956-795-2800 or Crime Stoppers at 956-727-TIPS.
All calls will remain anonymous and you may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - An apparent car crash is causing major traffic congestion on a busy Laredo road.
According to a witness driving through the area, the incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. at the 6550 block of Loop 20.
Traffic cameras shows traffic nearly at a standstill on the southbound lane of Loop 20.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
No word on any injuries at the moment.
Two people hospitalized following head-on collision in west Laredo Saturday night

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) -Two people are hospitalized following a crash in west Laredo over the weekend.
The crash was reported on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 at around 7 p.m. near Lafayette and Main Street.
According to initial reports, it was a head-on collision between two vehicles.
Officials say, a 50-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - A man is facing charges after authorities found several baggies of drugs, one of which included fentanyl.
The Laredo Police Department Narcotics and Vice Unit along with the DEA Overdose Task Force arrested Ramiro Ramon Dominguez, 53, during a traffic stop at the 3800 block of Barcelona.
Authorities seized several baggies of drugs that had detectable amounts of fentanyl.
Dominguez was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
The investigation into this case continues.
The following drugs were seized:
• 6 baggies with crystal like substance labeled “ICE” 3.3 grams
• 14 baggies with brown sticky substance (Heroin) 3.0 grams
• 10 baggies with white powdery substance 2.6 grams
• 3 baggies with white powdery substance (Fentanyl) .4 grams
• 7 baggies with white rocky substance 1.4 grams
• Medicine bottle containing pink pills (6) 3.3 grams
LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - A teen wanted for his alleged involvement in a murder case is captured in Monterrey, Mexico.
Amancio Anton Noriz, 16, was located and detained this past Wednesday, Jan. 24.
He was wanted out of Garland, Texas for pending capital murder proceedings.
With the assistance of Laredo U.S. Marshals, Noriz has been deported back to the United States.
Noriz was booked by Laredo Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and taken to the Webb County Juvenile Detention Center pending extradition.
A court gave special permission to identify the juvenile due to the severity of the offense alleged in this case.
WEBB COUNTY, TX. (KGNS) - Authorities need your help locating a man wanted for theft.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Pedro Antonio Lugo-Cordova, 33.
He is 5′8, weighs 238 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
If you have any information on Lugo-Cordova’s whereabouts, you are asked to call 956-415-BUST (2878).

Border Patrol responds to confrontation that escalated into use of force in west Laredo

LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - The Border Patrol agency is responding to an alleged confrontation that resulted in an agent using force.
The incident was reported on Jan. 24 at around 11 a.m. near Riverside Drive.
According to preliminary reports, a suspect allegedly attempted to hit a Border Patrol agent with a vehicle, at which point the agent fired at the car.
The FBI and Laredo Police Department responded to the scene and at least one person was located near Santa Maria Avenue and taken into custody.
The person was eventually located near Santa Maria by Las Nora’s and was detained.
No injuries were reported.
Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Professional Responsibility is reviewing the incident.
