LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - Several stargazers around Texas have reported sightings of an unidentified flying object in the sky Sunday night.
Video sent by a viewer who lives on Mines Road spotted the stellar phenomenon.
The video shows a floating object that throws some time of smoke ring before eventually disappearing.
A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration told several media outlets that the strange sighting was most likely a Space X rocket launch that occurred at 7:50 p.m. Sunday night.
Small plane crashes into house in Georgetown, Texas

Georgetown, Tx. (KGNS) - A small plane with three people on board crashed through the roof of a house in Georgetown, Texas Sunday.
The incident happened shortly before noon.
Authorities say the plane was en-route from Kerrville to Georgetown when it experienced engine failure and crashed into an unoccupied two-story duplex.
Witnesses in the neighborhood rushed into the home and opened the attic stairs.
They say the passengers were hurt but were able to walk away from the wreckage.
“They were scared they didn’t know what was going on look really confused. We had helped them down off the balcony,” said neighbor Dylan King.
All three passengers were released from the hospital Sunday afternoon.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are launching an investigation into what caused the crash.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz to visit Laredo Monday to discuss bridge projects along Texas-Mexico border

LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - U.S. Senator Ted Cruz along with other Texas lawmakers are expected to visit Laredo to discuss the fight for Texas-Mexico bridges.
Senator Cruz along with Congressman Henry Cuellar will take part in a roundtable discussion with Texas lawmakers and city officials to discuss the bipartisan efforts to expedite the approval of a fourth bridge project along the Texas-Mexico Border.
The visit comes nearly three weeks after Cruz and several other U.S. Representatives sent a letter directed to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to bypass environmental regulations needed to speed up the process to get the presidential permits required to build additional bridges.
The event will take place on Monday, July 24 at 10 a.m. at the World Trade Bridge.
The last time Ted Cruz visited the Gateway City was back in September of 2021.

LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - A Mexican National with an extensive criminal history is arrested by Border Patrol agents.
The arrest happened on Sunday, July 16 when agents detained two undocumented individuals attempting to travel illegally via train into the U.S.
Records revealed that Samuel ArreolA-Mejia, 51, was a Paisa gang member who had a history of felony convictions for transporting drugs, as well as possession of stollen property.
Arreola Mejia was arrested by Border Patrol and will remain in custody pending prosecution for his illegal re-entry into the U.S.
Man arrested after Webb County Sheriff’s Office finds fentanyl inside home

El Cenizo, TX. (KGNS) - A man is facing a slew of charges after authorities searched his home and found marijuana, cocaine, and fentanyl.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Gerardo Arce in the case.
The seizure happened on July 20 when the sheriff’s office narcotics unit executed a search warrant at a home located at the 600 block of Morales in El Cenizo, Texas.
During their search, authorities found 2.9 grams of fentanyl, 12.1 grams of crack cocaine, and 7.5 ounces of marijuana.
Arce was arrested and taken to the Webb County Jail.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Office continues to remind the public to report any illegal activity to their department at 956-415-BUST (2868).
