LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - SENTRI lane users from Tamaulipas must update their vehicle license plates due to recent changes made by the Mexican state.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection office said the update should be done as soon as possible, and they will provide assistance to users in making these changes.
As a trusted traveler program, SENTRI requires up-to-date information from its users.
Travelers will only be allowed to cross one time without having the updated plate; after that, they will need to use the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge for crossings.
According to Rick Pauza with CBP, “The state is changing their license plates and we have to update that information in the SENTRI system. If there are a couple of ways people can do that they can either do it online at ttp.cbp.gov, Or they can go to the SENTRI Enrollment Center and they can make the changes there.“
The update can also be done through the official SENTRI website.
